The waterfall itself is preserved paper — achieved through negative painting, defined entirely by what surrounds it. The mist at the base was painted wet-on-wet, pigment dissolved into a pre-wetted surface and left to find its own edges. The foliage was built across multiple sessions, warm yellows and cool greens worked against each other until the light behaved like light filtered through a real canopy.
