At Art by Joy, we understand that original artwork is precious and deserves exceptional care during shipping. This page outlines our shipping policies, packaging methods, delivery timelines, and what to expect when your artwork arrives.
All original watercolor artworks are carefully packaged by hand to ensure safe delivery to your doorstep.
2. Shipping Locations
2.1 Domestic Shipping (India)
We ship to all locations within India, including:
- All major cities and metro areas
- Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities
- Remote and rural areas (delivery times may vary)
- Union Territories and special regions
2.2 International Shipping
We currently ship to select international destinations. Available countries include:
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Canada
- Australia
- European Union countries
- Singapore, UAE, and select Asian countries

3. Processing Time
Order Processing: 1-3 business days
Once your order is placed and payment is confirmed, we carefully prepare your artwork for shipment. This includes:
- Quality inspection and documentation
- Professional packaging with protective materials
- Generation of shipping labels and documentation
- Arrangement of courier pickup
You will receive an email notification with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Note: Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to courier delays, customs clearance, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.
5. Shipping Costs
🌎 Good News: We now offer Free Worldwide Shipping on all original artworks.
Our new pricing model is all-inclusive, meaning the price you see on the artwork page is the final price you pay at checkout. No hidden fees or surprise shipping calculations.
5.1 Domestic & International Rates
Whether you are ordering from within India or from across the globe, standard shipping is now completely free of charge. We have subsidized 100% of the logistics costs to ensure a seamless and transparent purchasing experience for all our collectors.
⚠️ Customs & Duties: While shipping is free, international customers remain responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged by their respective countries upon arrival.
6. Tracking Your Order
Once your order ships, you will receive:
- Shipment Confirmation Email: With tracking number and courier details
- Tracking Link: Direct link to track your package in real-time
- Delivery Updates: Automated notifications as your package moves toward delivery
You can also track your order by logging into your account on our website and viewing your order history.
7. Delivery & Signature
Signature Required: For orders over ₹5,000 (or international shipments), a signature is required upon delivery to ensure the artwork reaches you safely.
Safe Place Delivery: For lower-value items, you may provide delivery instructions (e.g., "Leave at front door" or "With neighbor"). However, we recommend signature confirmation for valuable artwork.
Failed Delivery: If the courier cannot deliver (no one home, address issue), they will attempt redelivery or hold the package at their local facility. Contact the courier directly to arrange redelivery or pickup.
8. Shipping Insurance
Comprehensive Coverage: To give you complete peace of mind, all shipments (both domestic and international) now include comprehensive shipping insurance at no additional cost.
This insurance covers:
- Loss or theft during transit
- Damage to artwork during shipping
- Full replacement value or refund for the artwork
In the rare event of an issue, we handle the entire claims process with the courier so you don't have to.
9. Customs & International Duties
For international orders:
- Customs Declarations: We complete all required customs paperwork accurately
- Duties & Taxes: Buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by their country
- Customs Delays: Delivery may be delayed during customs clearance (typically 2-7 days)
- Artwork Classification: Artwork is declared as original art with full purchase value
We cannot predict or control customs fees. Please check your country's import regulations before ordering.
10. Lost or Damaged Shipments
10.1 Damaged During Shipping
If your artwork arrives damaged:
- Do not discard the packaging materials
- Take clear photos of the damage, packaging, and shipping label
- Contact us within 48 hours at joy@artbyjoy.shop with photos
- We will file a claim with the courier and arrange a replacement or refund
10.2 Lost in Transit
If your tracking shows no movement for an extended period, or the package is marked as lost:
- Contact us immediately
- We will investigate with the shipping carrier
- If confirmed lost, we will issue a replacement or full refund
11. Incorrect Address
Your Responsibility: Please double-check your shipping address before completing your order. We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery due to incorrect addresses.
Address Changes: If you need to change your shipping address, contact us immediately at joy@artbyjoy.shop. Once the order has shipped, we cannot modify the address, but we can attempt to reroute the package (fees may apply).
Returned Packages: If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we will contact you to arrange reshipment. You will be responsible for additional shipping costs.
12. Order Tracking Issues
If you experience issues with tracking:
- Tracking Not Updating: Allow 24-48 hours after shipment for tracking to activate
- Stuck in Transit: Contact the courier directly using your tracking number
- Delivery Exceptions: Contact us if tracking shows "delivery exception" or similar issues
13. Holiday & Peak Season Shipping
During peak seasons (Diwali, Christmas, New Year, etc.), please expect:
- Extended processing times (3-5 business days)
- Longer delivery times due to courier volume
- Potential courier delays beyond our control
We recommend ordering early during holiday seasons to ensure timely delivery.
14. Commissioned Artwork Shipping
For custom commissioned artwork:
- Shipping is arranged after the artwork is completed and approved by you
- Standard shipping is included for commissions globally
- Processing time is 1-2 business days after final approval/payment
- Same premium packaging and insurance apply as standard purchases
